Meet Shannon Antoinette

Shannon Antoinette Sanders is a native of Washington D.C. who had dreams of being a singer/actress one day and started her journey to achieving that dream. She auditioned, was accepted, and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan, New York. During her time there she attended a small church in Brooklyn, New York that really began to speak to her spiritual side. In that time, Shannon Antoinette decided not to return to acting school and became devoted to ministry in the local church, singing and teaching the word of God. 

 

Over the years Shannon Antoinette rendered her vocal abilities to local and national recording artists and choirs such as Paul Avery and the Ministry Choir, Charles Butler and Trinity, Christopher Ervin & Abraham’s Descendant (present), The Life Center Church just to name a few. Church has always been a part of Shannon Antoinette's life and upbringing. In May 2006 she earned her associate degree in theology from the Atlanta Bible College in Marrow, Georgia. She then went on to become a licensed Minister at the Transformation Centre under Apostle Roderick and the late Yalonda Jenerette in Charlotte, North Carolina, where Shannon Antoinette currently resides.

 

In March 2015 Shannon Antoinette launched #IAmResilient where she started using this platform to encourage and support individuals with biblical principles on how to recover after a setback through social gatherings and weekly conference calls.  In 2016 She took her ministry to the TV with Access 21 and Radio One 100.9 FM gospel radio. Shannon Antoinette was the 3rd Vice President of the African American Caucus under the Democratic Party for the Mecklenburg County of North Carolina, she has always had a passion for community and ministry. 

 

Shannon Antoinette serves as the Minister of Music and Praise and Worship Leader at The Genesis Church in Gastonia, North Carolina under the leadership of Pastor Johnny and Lady Rachel Brown and has recently launched "Weekly Devotionals" on all social media platforms. She has a love for community service and outreach and aspires to return to politics in the near future.
